2 - Different Styles of Mushroom Starter Recipes
Sautéed Italian mushrooms are very easy to make and full of flavour. It's an excellent dish for a party.
A delicious Indian side dish, mushroom stir fry is quick to make and goes well with roti, chapati, rasam, and rice.
Servings 2 - 3
Ingredients For Sautéed Italian Mushrooms:
2 teaspoon olive oil
3 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped
150g mushrooms
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika Powder
2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Method:
Clean mushrooms by gently wiping with a paper towel and then de-stem the mushrooms.
Add olive oil to a pan and heat over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and sauté; add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes.
Stir in the salt, chilli flakes, and oregano.
Add in the paprika powder and stir.
Now, turn the mushrooms. (Stem side up).
Cook and brown the mushrooms for about 2 minutes without disturbing or until cooked.
Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and serve warm.
Ingredients For Mushroom Stir Fry Indian Style- 2 :
2 tablespoons regular oil
3 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
300g mushrooms
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 bunch coriander
Method:
Clean mushrooms by gently wiping with a paper towel and then cut them into quarters.
Add oil to a pan and heat over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and sauté; now add the chilli and sauté.
Add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add in the pepper and salt.
Stir well and cook for about 2 minutes or until done.
Furthermore, add in the lemon juice and stir well.
Finely sprinkle fresh coriander and serve warm.
